Powertrain data acquisition and analysis – Electric

Young man in front of a whiteboard

Duration

One-day course
9:00 AM to 04:30 PM

Price
$575

Target group:

The seminar addresses users who have some experience with ArtemiS SUITE and need to acquire and process data for investigation and design of electric powertrains and their unique sound, vibration and perception aspects.

Prerequisite:

Basic knowledge in using ArtemiS SUITE. Beginners are advised to visit the training course Introduction to ArtemiS SUITE.

Seminar Objectives:

This seminar develops the use of ArtemiS SUITE as a data acquisition and interactive signal processing/analysis system for applications in electric powertrain designs, analyses and their perceptual implications.

Course documentation includes printed material, PowerPoint presentations, and a library of ArtemiS SUITE example projects with sample data files. ArtemiS SUITE systems are available for hands-on exercises throughout the course.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own data files.

Deliverables:

  • Reference quantities and channels
  • Pulse- and ramp-tachometer acquisitions/creations, uses and inter-conversions
  • “Live” dials for RPM and other reference quantities
  • Analyses vs.RPM” (vs. any quantity)
  • Background: noise and vibration causes and issues in electric machinery and control
  • Psychoacoustics and order-related psychoacoustics
  • Advanced analyses (5016)
  • Filters, overview
  • All order-based analyses
  • Order analysis
    • Algorithm choices and reasons
    • Value of extremely small RPM steps in information resolution and avoidance of event-rate/analysis-step interferences
