Applied Psycho-Acoustics: Pattern Detection and Modulation Analysis
Psycho-acoustic analysis has been established to introduce human perception to the evaluation and assessment of sound. Prominent spectral and temporal sound patterns typically attract attention – and hence influence the overall perception dramatically.
In our second online seminar on applied psycho-acoustics, the Relative Approach analysis method is presented as a pattern detection algorithm. Considering modulation as temporal patterns, further analysis methods are introduced to evaluate signal modulations. The HEAD acoustics consulting team presents typical analysis examples from their practical experience in fields of automotive industry and household appliances.
Topics to be covered:
- Introduction to Relative Approach Analysis
- Introduction to Modulation Analysis
- Typical analysis examples from automotive and household appliances
